Message from the Head of Department
Dear students of the Biochemistry department,
Welcome to the department's website.
Biochemistry is the field of study of biochemical reactions within the tissues of living organisms, their pathways and control methods. It includes the reactions of basic nutritional elements such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, enzymes, hormones, minerals and vitamins, and how to construct some vital compounds necessary for these reactions to continue in a natural way so that growth can continue. It also teaches clinical biochemistry, which specializes in metabolic pathways in many diseases using modern methods, in addition to an introduction to genetic engineering and genes.
