Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of El Saleheya El Gadida University, and Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Khamis, Vice President of the University, the university concluded the final events of the table tennis and billiards tournament amid a competitive atmosphere and a large student turnout.
The tournament was organized and supervised by the Youth Welfare Administration across the university’s faculties, with the participation of the Faculties of Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Management, and Dentistry.
The refereeing committee, consisting of: Mr. Ahmed Sobhy, Mr. Hakim Ibrahim, Mr. Abdullah Youssef, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, and Mr. Abdullah Abdel-Aal, efficiently managed the matches.
In the men’s table tennis competitions, student Kyrillos Malak Saleh delivered an outstanding performance, securing the title after an exciting match, followed by student Magdy El-Deen Raafat in second place, and student Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Nabi in third place.
In the men’s billiards competition, student Mohamed Wael Rizq claimed first place after a series of strong matches, followed by student Mohamed Mahmoud Amin in second place, and student Osama Mohamed Abdel Rabbo in third.
On the women’s level, student Nourhan Fawzy Saad achieved first place in table tennis, followed by student Heba Adel Atiya in second place.
In the women’s billiards competition, student Viola Ahmed Farid came in first place, while student Hagar Abdelhamid Mahmoud secured second place, and student Nermeen Mohamed Abdel Fattah took third place.
The event also witnessed the announcement of the establishment of the university’s first women’s football team — a pioneering step aimed at supporting women’s sports and enhancing student participation.
The General Administration of Youth Welfare and Student Activities expressed its pride in the outstanding performances of both male and female students, affirming that these championships come as part of the university’s efforts to support athletic talents and encourage extracurricular activities.
