Under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mr. Alaa El-Din Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board, and under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of El Saleheya El Gadida University, and Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Khamis, Vice President of the University, El Saleheya El Gadida University organized its annual Iftar celebration in a Ramadan atmosphere filled with warmth, harmony, and mutual affection.
The evening was attended by a distinguished group of leading scholars and religious figures who enriched the gathering with their thoughtful words and spiritual reflections. Among them were Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Khadr, former Dean of the Faculty of the Holy Qur’an and Professor of Qur’anic Interpretation and Sciences; Prof. Dr. El-Shehat El-Azazy, one of the scholars of Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Awqaf; Dr. Reda Abdel Salam, former Head of the Holy Qur’an Radio; and Sheikh Ahmed Abu Khutwa, the reciter and chanter at the Egyptian Radio.
The program of the event included a variety of spiritual segments featuring inspiring faith-based speeches, beautiful religious chants, as well as distinguished heritage performances and talents presented by the university’s students, reflecting their creativity and strong sense of belonging. The event was organized and presented in this honorable manner by the General Administration of Youth Welfare, led by Mr. Mamdouh Othman, in cooperation with the University Students’ Union.
This year’s collective Iftar embodied a remarkable image of solidarity and social cohesion, bringing together the university leadership with faculty members, administrative staff, employees, and students in a scene that strengthened the spirit of teamwork and reinforced bonds of affection and institutional belonging.
The evening concluded with the performance of the Isha prayer in an atmosphere of warmth and serenity. Attendees expressed their appreciation for this annual tradition that brings together the mission of knowledge and the values of spirituality. The university leadership also raised prayers to Almighty God to protect the homeland and to return these blessed days upon Egypt and the Islamic nation with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.
