Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mr. Alaa El-Din Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board, and under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Assem El-Shazly, President of the University, and Prof. Abdelaziz Khamis, Vice President of the University, and within the framework of activating its role in social responsibility and promoting the values of human solidarity, the General Administration of Youth Welfare, led by Mr. Mamdouh Othman, organized a field visit to Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Orphanage Foundation. The visit aimed to provide moral and material support to the residents of the foundation and to bring joy to the children.
This initiative comes as part of a series of community activities aimed at building bridges of communication between academic institutions and various segments of civil society, particularly the most vulnerable groups.
The visit program included an inspection tour of the foundation’s facilities, during which the university delegation reviewed the care and educational services provided to the children. The visit also featured recreational and interactive activities designed to engage the children and make them feel valued by society. It concluded with the distribution of in-kind gifts and contributions reflecting a spirit of solidarity and compassion.
During the visit, representatives of El Saleheya El Gadida University expressed their pride in the vital role played by Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Orphanage Foundation in caring for younger generations. They emphasized that the university’s mission is not limited to academic and research aspects alone, but extends to active participation in human and community development, as well as supporting institutions that care for orphans, who are an integral part of the nation’s future.
For their part, officials of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Orphanage Foundation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to El Saleheya El Gadida University for this kind gesture, praising the university’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian engagement and its role in setting a positive example for university students in volunteer work.
