El Saleheya El Gadida University participates in launching the national initiative to support outstanding students at Egyptian universities, “Future Scientists Scholarship.”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamed Saleh, Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, and Mr. Alaa El-Din Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board, and under the directives and in the presence of Professor Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of the University, El Saleheya El Gadida University participated with a high-level delegation in the launch ceremony of the national initiative to support outstanding students at Egyptian universities, “Future Scientists Scholarship.”

The event was held under the gracious patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Entissar El-Sisi, spouse of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in a majestic national scene hosted at the Grand Celebration Hall of Cairo University. The ceremony witnessed high-level attendance, including the Prime Minister, the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside a distinguished group of ministers and presidents of Egyptian universities.

In a statement, Professor Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of the University, affirmed that El Saleheya El Gadida University’s participation in this event reflects its deep commitment to nurturing talented students. He emphasized that supporting high achievers is not merely an academic role, but a national duty and a shared societal responsibility aimed at preparing capable cadres who can innovate and compete, in line with the aspirations of the New Republic.

He further noted that the University, with the support of its Board of Trustees, is keen to open broad horizons for its students to benefit from such scholarships, which provide advanced training and direct engagement opportunities with major research institutions, thereby enhancing the University’s position as a leading educational institution.

In a related context, the ceremony featured keynote speeches by state leaders. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that the initiative embodies the noblest objectives of the Egyptian state by placing education at the top of its priorities, praising the gracious patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Entissar El-Sisi, which reflects the leadership’s commitment to empowering students and overcoming obstacles to their excellence.
For his part, Mr. Hassan Abdalla explained that the scholarship aims at human development as a fundamental pillar of comprehensive development through unifying the efforts of the Central Bank and the Ministry of Higher Education. This was echoed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, who emphasized that the initiative represents an executive step within the Ministry’s strategy to link educational outcomes with real labor market needs, in line with the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.

The “Future Scientists Scholarship” initiative comes as the result of strategic cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Central Bank of Egypt. It aims to provide comprehensive support for academically and research-distinguished students, offer fully funded scholarships and advanced training programs, and transform academic excellence into a driving force for sustainable development and the knowledge economy.

The ceremony concluded with an inspiring panel discussion that reviewed the details of the scholarship. An atmosphere of pride and honor prevailed among the participating students of El Saleheya El Gadida University, who represented their University with distinction and affirmed their determination to become the nucleus of future scientists contributing to the nation’s progress.
