El Saleheya El Gadida University shines at the 7th International Conference on Physical Therapy “Challenging Disability”

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mr. Alaa El-Din Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board, and following the directives of Prof. Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Khamis, Vice President of the University, El Saleheya El Gadida University participated in the activities of the 7th edition of the “Disability Challenge” Conference, organized by the General Syndicate of Physical Therapy under the theme “Between Strategies of Assessment, Prevention, and Treatment.”

The conference was held under high-level ministerial patronage, including Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; and Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity.

The student delegation of El Saleheya El Gadida University was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Amal Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, along with a distinguished group of faculty members, ensuring the highest levels of academic and scientific supervision.

The Youth Welfare Team assumed full responsibility for providing logistical support to the students, under the leadership of Mr. Mamdouh Othman, with the active participation of Mr. Ahmed Sobhi and Mr. Abdullah Youssef. The university’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to its societal role and its continuous support for issues related to persons with disabilities, through scientific and academic contributions in the fields of rehabilitation and physical therapy, as well as active participation in the scientific sessions and specialized workshops featured at the conference. This engagement enhances the exchange of expertise and provides exposure to the latest methods and modern technologies in the field of medical rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.

The “Disability Challenge” Conference is considered a leading annual platform for supporting and empowering persons with disabilities in Egypt, conveying a clear message emphasizing the importance of amplifying their voices, safeguarding their rights, and expanding opportunities for their active participation across all aspects of life. The conference also features the participation of more than 80 leading companies in the field of assistive services, in addition to the presence of over 50 local and international expert speakers.

Representatives of El Saleheya El Gadida University affirmed that their participation in this event stems from a firm belief that ability is always greater than any challenge, and that the scientific and professional empowerment of persons with disabilities represents a fundamental pillar in building a more inclusive and just society, based on equal opportunities and the optimal utilization of human potential.
