Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamed Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Alaa El-Din Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board, and under the guidance of Professor Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Khamis, Vice President of the University, the University of El-Salihiya El-Gadida participated in the activities of the seventh edition of the “Disability Challenge” conference. The conference was organized by the General Syndicate of Physical Therapy under the slogan “Between Evaluation, Prevention, and Treatment Strategies.” The conference received high-level ministerial sponsorship, which included Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Professor Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity.
The delegation from the University of El-Salihiya El-Gadida was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Professor Dr. Amal Hassan, in addition to a group of faculty members to ensure the highest levels of academic and scientific supervision.
The university’s Youth Care team was also responsible for providing full logistical support to the students, led by Mr. Mamdouh Osman, with active participation from Mr. Ahmed Sobhi and Mr. Abdullah Youssef. The university’s participation highlighted its commitment to its social role and its ongoing support for the issues of people with disabilities, contributing scientifically and academically to the fields of rehabilitation and physical therapy, and actively participating in the scientific sessions and specialized workshops of the conference. This participation helped facilitate the exchange of experiences and the sharing of the latest methods and modern techniques in the field of medical rehabilitation for people with disabilities.
The “Disability Challenge” conference is a leading annual platform for supporting and empowering people with disabilities in Egypt. It sends a clear message emphasizing the importance of amplifying their voices, ensuring their rights, and expanding opportunities for their active participation in all aspects of life. The conference features the participation of more than 80 leading companies in the field of assistive services, along with over 50 speakers from local and international experts.
Representatives of the University of El-Salihiya El-Gadida confirmed that their participation in this event stems from a firm belief that ability is always greater than any challenge, and that the support and empowerment of people with disabilities, both academically and professionally, is a cornerstone in building a more inclusive and just society, based on equal opportunities and maximizing the utilization of human potential.
