Under the patronage and in the presence of Professor Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of El Saleheya El Gadida University, Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Khamis, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Atef Abdel-Baqi, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and with the participation of a distinguished group of faculty members and teaching assistants, the corridors of the Faculty of Pharmacy at El Saleheya El Gadida University witnessed a remarkable scientific event represented by the organization of the “Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department Day.”
The event reflected a high level of academic excellence and student creativity, within the framework of the university’s commitment to supporting applied scientific activities and linking theoretical study with practical application.
The event featured an exceptional showcase of students’ intellectual output, as Faculty of Pharmacy students presented three-dimensional models and prototypes through which they embodied complex molecular and chemical structures of various pharmaceutical compounds. This interactive educational experience demonstrated the depth of scientific understanding and creative capability of the students.
These models were developed under the academic supervision of Dr. Ahmed Haggag Lotfy Allah and Dr. Mahmoud Farid, where students successfully transformed abstract chemical equations and theories into realistic models. These models contribute to simplifying the understanding of drug mechanisms of action and enhancing analytical and innovative thinking skills, serving the future of pharmaceutical industries and scientific research.
The scientific success of the event was complemented by outstanding organization under the supervision of the General Administration of Youth Welfare and Student Activities at the Faculty, led by Mr. Mamdouh Othman, with the participation of Mr. Abdullah Abdel Aal, Mr. Ahmed Sobhy, and Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim.
The event program included a rich scientific agenda featuring explanatory presentations of the models, open scientific discussions, and academic evaluations of the students’ work, in addition to providing opportunities for exchanging expertise and ideas, thereby strengthening teamwork spirit and academic belonging.
Attendees emphasized that such activities represent a true translation of El Saleheya El Gadida University’s strategy in supporting applied education, developing innovation skills, and preparing pharmaceutical professionals capable of leading the pharmaceutical industry and scientific research sectors in Egypt and beyond.
