About Faculty

The college program has been designed according to the internationally applied credit hour system to keep pace with scientific and societal changes, and in a manner that aligns with the needs of the local and regional labor market. This is achieved by allowing students to study a set of courses that include university requirements—comprising humanities courses—as well as compulsory college requirements, which include basic medical sciences and applied clinical sciences. In addition, there are elective courses that students choose according to their interests and skills. The system also allows students to select their preferred faculty member and lecture time when a course is offered to more than one group, within the available resources of the college.

It gives me great pleasure and honor to welcome you all to the Faculty of Dentistry at Al-Salihiya University — this modern academic institution that has come to be a beacon of knowledge, science, and community service in our region. Our faculty was established in response to an urgent national need to graduate qualified dental professionals who keep pace with the latest advancements in dental sciences and meet our community’s aspirations for advanced and safe healthcare.

We believe that our mission is not limited to transferring knowledge, but extends to building the character of a dentist who is capable of critical thinking, lifelong learning, teamwork, and adherence to professional ethics. We strive to provide a modern educational environment that integrates theoretical study with early practical training, using the latest digital technologies to prepare you to face the challenges of the labor market both locally and internationally.

Community service is an integral part of our mission, and together we will launch initiatives, awareness programs, and preventive and therapeutic campaigns that contribute to raising health awareness and improving oral and dental health in our beloved community. We are also committed to supporting applied scientific research that bridges the needs of society with the latest scientific developments.

The Faculty of Dentistry at El-Saleheya El-Gadida University is committed to providing distinguished services for teaching, learning, and acquiring knowledge that leads to the graduation of dentists who are knowledgeably and skillfully qualified, capable of meeting the needs of society and conducting advanced scientific research in the fields of oral and dental health.

Faculty Goals

The aim is for graduates of the Faculty of Dentistry – El-Saleheya El-Gadida University to be able to:

Acquire the knowledge, understanding, and diverse skills necessary to provide distinguished therapeutic and research services in the field of oral and dental diseases within educational and academic institutions.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families to develop a precise care approach.
Diagnose and treat common oral and dental diseases affecting individuals and communities at all levels, and work on the prevention of these diseases.
Maintain safety standards and infection control measures.
Uphold professional standards satisfactorily by recognizing the importance of lifelong learning and striving for continuous professional development.
Possess personal skills in communication, presentation, and critical thinking, along with the ability to utilize current technology in the field of dentistry.
Acquire the various skills required for the dental profession labor market and direct them towards improving community health and services.
