About Faculty

The college program has been designed according to the internationally applied credit hour system to keep pace with scientific and societal changes, and in a manner that aligns with the needs of the local and regional labor market. This is achieved by allowing students to study a set of courses that include university requirements—comprising humanities courses—as well as compulsory college requirements, which include basic medical sciences and applied clinical sciences. In addition, there are elective courses that students choose according to their interests and skills. The system also allows students to select their preferred faculty member and lecture time when a course is offered to more than one group, within the available resources of the college.
All provisions in this regulation have been developed in accordance with the Universities Organization Law (Law No. 49 of 1972) and its executive regulations, as well as with the requirements of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
All courses are taught in English.
The college adopts modern methods for student assessment to ensure the achievement of Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs), including: short quizzes, midterm exams, individual and group applications and assignments, observation and supervision, student portfolio evaluation, theoretical exams, practical exams, and oral exams.

I am delighted to welcome you all at the beginning of a new academic year, which we start with hope, ambition, and determination at the Faculty of Dentistry, New Salhia University, this modern scientific edifice that was created to be a beacon of science, knowledge, and community service in our region.
This college was established in response to an urgent national need to graduate medical cadres who are up to date with the latest developments in various dental sciences and who meet our community’s need for advanced medical care. The College of Dentistry is not just a place of study, but an integrated environment for producing skilled doctors, creative researchers, and individuals capable of shouldering the responsibilities of their noble profession with high ethics and solid knowledge.
I invite you to make this year a new beginning for diligence and hard work, to take advantage of all the scientific, research, and training opportunities offered by the college, and to not hesitate to put forward your ideas, strive for development, and participate in student activities that develop your personality and build team spirit and teamwork.

Acquire the knowledge, understanding, and diverse skills necessary to provide distinguished therapeutic and research services in the field of oral and dental diseases within educational and academic institutions.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families to develop a precise care approach.
Diagnose and treat common oral and dental diseases affecting individuals and communities at all levels, and work on the prevention of these diseases.
Maintain safety standards and infection control measures.
Uphold professional standards satisfactorily by recognizing the importance of lifelong learning and striving for continuous professional development.
Possess personal skills in communication, presentation, and critical thinking, along with the ability to utilize current technology in the field of dentistry.
