As part of its strategy to connect the academic path with the requirements of the financial market, the College of International Business and Economics at El Saleheya El Gadida University organized an educational field visit for its students to the headquarters of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).

This special visit, under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Shawarby, Dean of the College of International Business and Economics, aimed to enable students to gain firsthand insight into the regulatory and supervisory role of the non-banking financial sector in Egypt.

The visit served as an important knowledge station for the students, including a key workshop titled “Non-Banking Financial Activities,” presented by a group of FRA leaders. Dr. Ahmed Youssef, General Director of the Supervision and Regulation of Non-Banking Financial Companies Sector, delivered a main presentation discussing the mechanisms of the vital sector and its effective contribution to comprehensive economic development.

Dr. Amal Salah, General Director of Microfinance Companies at the FRA, enriched the discussion with her valuable expertise on the role of microfinance in supporting small and micro-enterprises.

The event concluded with a presentation by Dr. Mervat Ahmed Said, General Director of Insurance Companies at the FRA, in which she highlighted the vital importance of the insurance sector.

The visit was meticulously organized and well-coordinated, achieving both academic and logistical objectives. The academic supervision was directly handled by a team of faculty members from the College of International Business and Economics, including Dr. Hani Sayam, Dr. Noha El-Azazi, Dr. Mohamed Helmy, and Dr. Mona Mousa. This was done in collaboration with the University’s General Administration for Youth Care, led by Mr. Mamdouh Othman, with logistical support from Mr. Hakim Ahmed, Mr. Abdullah Abdel-Aal, and Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim.

At the end of the visit, the participating students were honored with certificates in recognition of their attendance and positive interaction with the educational program’s activities.
