As part of El Saleheya El Gadida University’s commitment to enhancing the practical aspect of education and linking academic study with real-world applications, the Faculty of International Management and Economics organized a field visit for its students to El Sharqia Sugar Manufacturing Factory. The visit aimed to provide students with practical experience and introduce them to the latest administrative and production systems applied in the industrial sector.
During the visit, the students learned about the various stages of sugar production, starting from the receipt of crops through the manufacturing, packaging, and storage processes. They were also introduced to the quality management system, occupational health and safety procedures, and the mechanisms for managing operations and production within the factory, contributing to reinforcing the concepts they study in the classroom.
The students also attended a comprehensive presentation by the factory’s officials on modern management strategies, supply chain management, planning and production, as well as the role of digital transformation in improving the efficiency of industrial operations and increasing production rates.
The Faculty administration emphasized that these field visits are part of the Faculty’s plan to prepare graduates who possess both academic knowledge and practical experience and are capable of meeting the requirements of the labor market. This is achieved through building effective partnerships with leading industrial and production institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their appreciation for this valuable practical experience, emphasizing that it contributed to broadening their perspectives and connecting theoretical concepts with real-world applications. They also extended their thanks to the management of El Sharqia Sugar Manufacturing Factory for the warm welcome and excellent organization, and to El Saleheya El Gadida University for its continuous commitment to providing educational and training opportunities that enrich students’ experience and develop their professional skills.
