As part of El Saleheya El Gadida University’s commitment to advancing the systems of education and scientific research, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized the Scientific Day of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology (Pharmacology Educational Activity Day). The event was held under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Assem El-Shazly, President of El Saleheya El Gadida University; Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Khamis, Vice President of the University; and Prof. Dr. Atef Abdelbaki, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The event witnessed wide participation from faculty members and students. It was organized with the aim of highlighting the latest advancements and research developments in the fields of pharmacology and toxicology, in alignment with the future vision of clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical innovation, and supporting the university’s mission in preparing graduates capable of keeping pace with global progress in pharmaceutical sciences.
Prof. Dr. Assem El-Shazly expressed his pride in the efforts exerted to organize the event, emphasizing the university’s strong commitment to supporting applied scientific research and providing a motivating learning environment for students. He also called for the continuation of such activities, which enrich the university experience and enhance students’ skills.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Atef Abdelbaki, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, stated that this event represents an important platform for exchanging expertise and strengthening the role of scientific research in serving the community. Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Abdelbaset, Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, highlighted the pivotal role played by the department in preparing pharmacy graduates capable of effectively contributing to the development of the healthcare sector.
The Scientific Day shed light on the latest research trends and practical applications in the fields of pharmacology and toxicology, contributing to the enhancement of pharmaceutical practice and the promotion of drug innovation.
The event was organized through the distinguished efforts of the team from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, led by Dr. Mohamed Abdelbaset, Lecturer of Pharmacology and Toxicology, along with Pharmacist Dr. Souad Saeed, Teaching Assistant in the Pharmacology Department, and with the active participation of Mr. Abdullah Abdelaal, Director of Youth Welfare at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
