The Faculty of Dentistry at El Saleheya El Gadida University Organizes Its “First Scientific Day”

 

 

Under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Assem El Shazly, President of El Saleheya El Gadida University, and Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Khamis, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Abdelhafiz, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, the faculty organized its first Scientific Day with wide participation from faculty members and students. The event was coordinated by Mr. Abdullah Youssef, Director of Youth Welfare at the Faculty of Dentistry, who oversaw organizational and logistical arrangements to ensure the smooth flow of activities.

The Scientific Day included two main components designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with advanced clinical practice:

• Scientific Poster:
A presentation focused on the fundamentals of infection control in clinical practice, emphasizing occupational safety and the importance of adhering to preventive standards in medical environments.

• Presentation:
A specialized session on techniques for writing technical reports, aimed at developing students’ skills in preparing scientific and research reports following precise and accredited academic methodologies.

The event also featured short lectures and interactive discussions addressing the latest developments in medical education, contributing to enriching the students’ overall learning experience.

Prof. Dr. Assem El Shazly affirmed that organizing the Faculty of Dentistry’s first Scientific Day represents a strategic step reflecting the university’s deep commitment to advancing medical education and enhancing scientific research among students and faculty members. He noted that the future of healthcare begins in the classroom and training platforms.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Khamis stated that this Scientific Day is an important achievement aligned with the university’s vision of preparing a qualified generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenges of health professions with competence.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Abdelhafiz, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, expressed his pride in the success of this first-of-its-kind event, confirming the faculty’s continued support for developing and expanding scientific and research activities that serve students’ academic progress and directly contribute to improving the quality of future healthcare services.

The First Scientific Day highlights the faculty’s vision to establish a leading educational environment that integrates theoretical knowledge with advanced clinical application, helping prepare medical professionals capable of serving the community effectively.
