The Faculty of Pharmacy at El Saleheya El Gadida University organizes the annual Scientific Day for Pharmacology.

Under the patronage and in the presence of Professor Dr. Assem El Shazly, President of El Saleheya El Gadida University, and Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Khamees, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Atef Abdel Baky, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized its annual Scientific Day in Pharmacology, with wide participation from faculty members and students.

Professor Dr. Assem El Shazly emphasized the importance of supporting scientific and research activities that develop students’ skills and open new horizons in medical and pharmaceutical sciences. The University Vice President also praised the students’ efforts and their ability to present solid scientific content that reflects the high quality of education within the faculty.

Professor Dr. Atef Abdel Baky explained that the Scientific Day represents an important platform for showcasing the efforts of fourth-year students, highlighting the faculty’s commitment to supporting their academic journey and providing an educational environment that encourages creativity, research, and development.

The Scientific Day included distinguished student research presentations addressing contemporary pharmacological topics, most notably:
• Teratogenic drugs
• Pregnancy and safe medications
• Gout treatment
• Anti-diabetic medications
• Antibiotics and global bacterial resistance
• Analgesics and the risks of overuse

The event was academically supervised by Dr. Karim Attia, Professor of Pharmacology, with active participation from Dr. Maryam El Mohamady, Teaching Assistant in the Pharmacology Department, and in cooperation with the Youth Welfare Department, which contributed to enhancing student activities and ensuring the highest level of organization.

Dr. Karim Attia praised the scientific level of the projects, stressing that the work presented by the students over the past two weeks reflects deep understanding and commendable effort.

The event witnessed strong interaction between students and faculty members in a motivating scientific atmosphere that supports creativity and scientific inquiry.

The day concluded with expressions of gratitude to all participants and an affirmation of the continuation of such events, which enhance students’ scientific and research skills and enable them to keep pace with modern developments in the fields of medical and pharmaceutical sciences.
